Jeff Lin started music learning at the age of 4, joining in the Ju Percussion Music School in Taiwan. The marks the beginning of his love and passion for music in his following years to come. At the age of 10, he took on the chance to learn from the well-established performing artist En-Xu Lin, learning the Chinese Flute, later joined Department of Traditional Music at the Taiwan National College of Performing Arts, in that same year, he won the championship in a Southern Taiwan competition and was invited as the representative of Republic of China (Taiwan) to perform at Casa de Cultura A Sindicatelor in Romania.
In 2007, Jeff moved to New Zealand admiring its nature and beauty, fast he found himself surrounded by different opportunities to perform more than 100 different occasions within an year, including solo, ensemble, orchestra, and diversified performance forms. In 2009, he took on the opportunity to start learning the Western Flute, and within 2 years, achieved Grade 7/8 exams with The Trinity College of London, and on the following year, gained his ATCL on flute in music performance. Due to his multiple learning background and life experiences, he is also excellent at interacting with multicultural audience.
