Pete Shaw has been professionally performing and composing music since the age of 18. His interests now range from contemporary classical piano and traditional folk accordion, to indie and pop.
In 2016, he started studying for his Bachelor of Music degree at The University of Manchester, where he trained under concert pianist Duncan Glenday. Whilst in the vibrant city of Manchester, he took advantage of the city’s creative culture, performing in contemporary operas, piano recitals and musically directing pit bands.
Experiences like these opened his eyes to the possibilities of music, and gave him the opportunity to perform around Europe and New York as a musician.
After graduating, his alt-folk duo, Good Habits, toured around New Zealand starting beginning of 2020, and are currently still on tour performing around New Zealand!
